Nature is wonderful

Collected a hire car today and then drove up to Loro Parque which is a bird (mainly parrot) and animal park in Puerto de la Cruz. Lots of colourful birds to see and this jellyfish display in the aquarium was beautiful. Feel ambivalent about animal parks. Lots of emphasis there on their eco credentials including creatures they had been involved in saving from extinction, but some of the bird cage enclosures were too small for our liking. Some, however we’re amazingly spacious including one where you climbed up into the tops of trees on a walkway and the birds were right next to you.
