Cuckoo Flower

The delicate mauve flowers of Cardamine pretenses, otherwise known as cuckoo flower, Lady's smock, mayflower or milkmaids, have appeared. As yet there is no sound of the cuckoo whose arrival is supposed to coincide with the appearance of the flower.
