If you can't beat them...

"We have lift off"

For the second day with her client, Clickychick chose the Aira Cascades as being probably quieter than the main falls.  As we walked down the farmer was driving his quad around "leuk'n t'stock" ( Looking the stock i.e. doing the daily check on them).  I thought "hell that quad sound just like a helicopter".  At that point the helicopter flew over and off into the distance.  A little later it landed on the fell side and three men got out.  Off went the helicopter.  Soon we heard the helicopter again this time carrying a load (see extra).  Soon there were a pair of helicopters ferrying loads up the fell.  Clearly, the LDNP  ( Lake District National Parks ) were doing some work up there.  It is much more efficient to get workers and materials up there by air.  Manhandling several tonnes of material high on the fells would take for ever.
