A Dog's Dinner

Thug Life

I've been taking photographs in Blackpool for around twenty five years and it has never lost it's fascination and I hope it never does.

Today I spent the Bank Holiday Sunday mingling with the crowds shooting on film and digital.

When I asked this guy if I could take a pictures of his 'memorial wall 'he insisted that I also take a picture of the gun on his chest bearing the legend 'Thug Life', he then told me that the names on his back were of his mates who had been shot and killed.

Given that he was also 'very refreshed' and his gold tooth was sparkling in the sun I made my excuses and left before I was introduced to subtle nuances of Thug Life.
