Apt reading

Today’s blip is the new James Bond adventure ‘On His Majesty’s Secret Service’ … which was published  officially today.

It’s quite apt as it says on the back cover:

It’s just two days before the Coronation of King Charles III and Bond must stop an attempt at disruption by the maniacal AEthelstan of Wessex, the self-proclaimed rightful heir to the throne, who is on a deadly mission to teach the United Kingdom a lesson.

I saw an interview with Charlie Higson on tv yesterday, and he was saying he only got the phone call from the Ian Fleming estate at the beginning of February this year, asking him to right this book, so the turnaround from then has been amazing, three months to produce this book rather that the usual two years!

Turns out also that it is the 60th anniversary of the publication of ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’.

Anyway, I have a day of reading ahead.

Have a good day all.
