Green-winged Orchids

Today I made another, and this time successful, attempt to get over to Silverdale to see the Green-winged Orchids.  'Knottman' and Mrs 'Knottman' had most kindly given me very clear guidance as to how to find the field.  Passing though a kissing gate in a stone wall, I met with the magnificent sight of thousands of early purple orchids with just a few Green-winged Orchids however further on there were small clusters of the Green-winged Orchids and they were not difficult to find.
