Camassia

Last year I went with a good friend to Arley Hall in Cheshire. Yes, the one apparently blown up in the final episode of “Peaky Blinders”

Apart from the exceptional meat and potato pie which we found in a nearby pub, I was most impressed by the stunning Camassia, both growing and for sale.

My friend bought some. As we drove home, I regretted that I hadn’t.

I bought some bulbs in the autumn and followed Monty’s advice. 

I’m really rather pleased with the way mine have developed.

I may be speaking too early and tempting fate, but I’m already enjoying them as they sit either side of my front door.
