Back again

It was a quiet walk from the wildlife perspective but a very noisy walk from the strong winds perspective! So I didn't hold out much hope for any 'nice' shots but I did get a few common sandpiper images that were going to be today's blip.

Then.... just as we got back to the car a pair of ospreys appeared. The female is back (the males arrive first) and they were both out hunting - I think she might have arrived today - either way it is good news!
