We re here!

We made it!

The traffic was slow at one point.. ( 1 speed camera and 2 lanes merging into one ) 

We stopped at our usual spot when we re off on a trip,  at Latterbarrow. I crossed my fingers because the last time wed walked in there Fletch had been I'll and we d gone back home. He was ok , ( phew)  and we  had a pleasant walk amongst the wild orchids and cowslips. 

Once beyond the M6 the roads werent busy . We got to Clapham in good time . It was busy there and there were only a couple of parking places left in the huge carpark.
The Nature trail  is less flat than we remembered and we were concerned that Fletch may not manage the whole walk. It was quite busy too  so we decided to  ut the walk short and get in to Austwick.

Luckily our room was ready although we arrived early. We quickly unpacked and Fletch had perked up so walked through the village to the ford which has this lovely old bridge. 

It's good to be back after 5 years.
