Seeing

The holy grail of astronomy is a thing called seeing. This refers to the steadiness of the atmosphere that we're looking up through. Today was the worst I've ever had. I took dozens of photographs of the Sun throughout the day and this was as good as it got. Look how blurry the sunspots appear, and particularly how disturbed the limb of the Sun is.
The 50mph + gusts from an easterly gale were no help either.
