Pretty in Purple

Some sort of allium, love how they start appearing just as everything is going brown, adding their gorgeous colour all along the side of the road - on the Lula walk this morning. Really hard to choose a photo, chose this one because of the tiny snail clinging on.

Mike busy welding the steel we brought back yesterday, and cementing it in place, ready for the roof, which might arrive tomorrow, though I doubt it. I was sitting outside mending his ancient dressing gown, when he suddenly came off the ancient ladder he was on, and fell onto the barbed wire fence - the rung broke. Although he's torn and bashed, I'm glad the fence caught him, and he didn't break anything.

Gratefuls:
- that the dangerous ladder will now be chucked, and nothing worse happened
- getting all sorts of small jobs done, and two desserts made for a party tomorrow
- our family all together in Sutton, for the first time in ages
