Whiteside & Grasmoor, Crummock Water

Met up with a friend today and took a walk round the back of Crummock water, we experimented with big stoppers and even the super stopper (15 stop) filter, which gave me 6 minute exposures. I particularly liked this one, which features one of my favourite old sheep walls in the lakes - it's just the perfect stage of tumbledown.

The sad thing is, if United Utilities get their way on removing the weir from the end of Crummock and the lake level drops by 5 - 6 feet, this wall will either become useless (sheep will just walk round the end) or superfluous. To remain functional it would need to be extended and rebuilt.
