Private

Why do private footpaths always look the most inviting?

Had a drive over to Withypool for some lunch and a coffee. It's a quaint village with a tearoom, pub, little general store, a lovely old bridge and a VR postbox. What more could you need? Went on a bit of a wild goose chase over Exmoor on the way back... for several miles there were no place names at all showing on the car's satnav and we hadn't got a clue where we were. It was quite exciting! I kept hearing the words, "Keep off the moors, stick to the roads" going round and round in my head... there was going to be a full moon too so definitely didn't want to get lost up there! ;-)

Punched the spine with an awl and bound the junk journal in the afternoon (extra) using French Link and Kettle stitch, I'm quite pleased with it for my first attempt. I've got the covers to do next.

Watched Seniors snooker in the evening (2 very quick matches - still love to watch Tony Drago) and carried on with my cross stitch project and reading When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, I'm enjoying it... it's both awful with Hitler coming into power but funny in places too. A lot of it seems very apt with what's currently going on in the world. Humans never learn, but there's no profit in peace.

Norm started with a cold a couple of days ago so he did a covid test in the morning. It was negative thankfully but will keep our eyes on it over the next few days. He doesn't feel poorly just a bit grotty, it's very annoying and disappointing for him.
