Late last year, I got a new debit card. When I got the letter with my PIN, I couldn't believe it - it was absolutely terrible. Completely insecure. So bad, in fact, it was one of the examples of what not to use in the letter.

Suffice it to say, I changed it pretty quickly.

But today I was going through all of my papers in an unnatural urge to tidy, and look what I found. Another copy of the letter. In an unopened envelope. I must have missed it.

So not only did they give me a terrible PIN, and write it down in the letter as an example of a terrible PIN no one should ever have, but they then sent it to me twice. Brilliant.

Who writes your software, RBS? I mean really.
