Walking and waiting and thinking

Walked Maisie around our waterfront today. This picture is of one of the 23 typographical sculptures that form part of the Wellington Writers' Walk around the harbour. The sculptures are often missed by both locals and tourists, but mean a lot to me: all words are from works by NZ writers and are related to Wellington. These word are by our poet Bill Manhire, with whom I had the privilege to work for a while at Victoria University.
It is coronation today and I am keen to watch on TV. I don't remember Queen Elizabeth's coronation, but did see her when she visited NZ around this time. I was three I think!
