Rather curiously, this gull landed on the quayside, walked a little with its beak very full, then simply abandoned its stash before flying off.
The afternoon turned out rather fine, so we did a decent walk and came across some llamas (please see extra 1.) We diverted to the allotment to pick some asparagus for the evening meal, and to  check the CD bushes. They're meant to scare off birds, but would be more effective if played. The second extra shows Live at the Rainbow  Allotment.
Extra 3: We also noticed this rather shabby peacock butterfly, which seems to be out rather early.
