Bierton Bellringers Ring for the King

This morning we Rang for the King. Our team consists mostly of new and inexperienced ringers but everybody had the chance to ring for a while.  To the untrained eye, bellringing might appear to be just pulling on a rope but, with true English change ringing, there is much more to it that that. It could, like photography, take over your life with towers to visit, methods to be learned and the hours of practising etc etc. Usually, a pub is involved at the end of an evening's practice but Bierton no longer has a pub!!

The Coronation of King Charles III was a magnificent example of what Britain does best - ceremony and tradition.  Today was a wonderful display of tradition and skill, with music and musicians contributing; wasn't that gospel group stunning?

The weather was also 'traditional' with yet another very wet Coronation!
