Spider

The velux can create great highlights on the mantle piece.  This is my displaced spider plant from our bathroom that is in the process of being renewed.  
We spent the whole morning watching the Coronation. It was a spectacle and fun to see one of the musicians from last nights concert playing in the Abbey. It certainly added a little connection for us. A great friend of mine who was a career soldier was also spotted carrying out his part... amazing really. 
The rest of the day has been spent preparing for a little lunch party tomorrow.. a bit more tidying up (the house feels like it is in chaos with all the changes we are making) but they are all good old friends and wont mind a bit of chaos. I am hoping we can eat outside but after todays rain all the chairs look decidedly damp! We will see.. there are showers forecast for the morning.. fingers crossed there is time for it to dry up otherwise we will have to be inside. Either way the meal will be cooked on the barbecue so I hope that goes to plan!
