In the Green

I went out today to a localish hotspot for Wood white butterflies.
Well, in all the books it describes the Wood white as having a weak flight...Ha Ha!!! weak flight maybe but they can still leg it into thick woodland or to the top of the trees at speed....
Result one less than adequate picture.
I managed to photograph a few beetles and a Hazel leaf rolling weevil but the light was so bright the results were not bril at all :-(
In the end I settled for this picture of a Green veined white, I like the 'greeness' of it all, and feel these pretty little butterflies often get overlooked.
Off to Norfolk tomorrow in search of the butterflies (and dragons) that live there. 4am start - madness!!
Catch you tomorrow ...
