Coronation and Castle

Big screen at the Ross Bandstand showing the broadcast from the Abbey.

Went over to see the 197th RSA Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy; well worth a visit (it's free). Some good architecture models as well as the sculpture, painting and prints. Online and on two floors.

In extras:
Musica Universalis pieces by Doug Cocker with a view down the length of the gallery
Chess set : Function follows Form by Ross Cameron

Back indoors, listened to the coronation on Radio 3, tuning in a few minutes before Zadok the Priest. There was a gun salute from the Castle.

Out in the afternoon, mist and rain notwithstanding. Tram to Haymarket, Roseburn path to the Water of Leith. A heavy shower came on, so we walked back by Bells Brae and the New Town.
