Horse Fly

By no means a favorite subject of mine... But this Horse Fly presented an opportunity to practice my macro/photo stacking skills. Although they are an important member of the food chain, Horse Flies are a bane to warm-blooded creatures, including humans. The female of the species is especially bloodthirsty! They transmit several equine diseases and a bite to a human can cause a very painful reaction. No, I didn't end this one. I have trouble doing that especially after taking photos of something.
