THE CORONATION

We braved the weather and joined the umbrella army in London.
Sadly the weather was horrible and we couldn’t get anywhere near the procession. #However we found a little typical olde English pub (with a mini TV)…the landlady opened up a room above the pub with seats and a big screen. We were warm…with alcohol nearby and #lots of happy cheerful people who we befriend. It was fabulous…felt like we’d made it occasion….#very powerful service.

#we joined the umbrella army again…hoping to see them on the balcony…haha…no way!!! . We found a wall to sit on to eat our picnic.
We were able to see the fly over as we stood near Trafalgar Square. Afterwards we went to the cafe in the crypt at St Martins for a cuppa.
Although we didn’t see the procession or the balcony scene we definitely felt the atmosphere and were pleased we’d made the effort.
