Derelict Sunday

Down the street from our son's house there stood a derelict house which was rather an eyesore, so we're glad that it's been demolished. Temporarily of course that makes the site look even more derelict as there's a big hole where the house was: all houses round here have a basement so deep digging is required when they're being demolished/rebuilt.

On the right is the artist's impression of what the new building will look like. I think there's a certain amount of artistic licence as there's not room for all those lovely trees - but at least the new building will look a lot better than the old one - or the current hole in the ground!

So I'm tagging this for Marlieske's Derelict Sunday challenge to show that dereliction can (hopefully!) be resolved :-)
