Putting Forth

Ivy pushing towards the light.  I wonder when the gate was last opened. This lane in Kelso seems to have been abandoned, lots of the buildings are boarded up and crumbling. I don't know what the story is.

I spent the morning in the potting shed, sowing pumpkin, courgette, lettuce,  and even some peas, which had been forgotten about. I hope they'll catch up. 

We cleaned out the woodburner and put some fairy lights in a glass bowl inside. Now TM is saying, we could just take them out and put the fire on - it really is chilly!
