An emergency blip.  If this cast iron money box is ever to be blipped this is the time.  It was issued for the Coronation in 1953 and coins apparently were taken out using a knife inserted into the slot although there is a small screw on the top cross which, when unscrewed, allows the top to be separated from the base to access the coins. On the base this side says 'Coronation’ with 'Elizabeth II' at the back and the dates '1953' and 'June 2' on the other sides.
