Stairing into space

Up at the medical centre first thing for a routine eye-screening. 

Like most things you don't have to do very often, I kind of knew where I was meant to be going. But at the same time, I had no real idea of how to get there. 

In contrast to the black & whiteness of the stairwell, the day outside was all blue skies and glorious sunshine.
