what's beneath?

Trip into town to help out at a workshop. The first in-person workshop in years! It was so nice to actually see people and have a properly interactive session. Online is ok, it's particularly good when it allows you to attend something at the other end of the world. In-person meetings are multi-dimensional and I really missed it. Next week I will start my workshop series. Really looking forward to it.

On the way I spotted this geophysical vehicle. It is used to perform cone penetration tests, a hydraulic ram presses a standard cone into the ground and  the mechanical resistance is measured. It gives an indication of the geotechnical properties of the subsurface. Kind of surprising to see it right in the centre of Berlin.
