Blossom Fall

In the garden the transformation from Winter is almost complete.  Our two apple trees are just beginning to shed their blossom, providing a floor of white petals.

This apple tree is a conundrum; it only flowers every other year.  Some research brings up that this may be biennial bearing, where the tree puts so much effort into flowering and bearing fruit one year it uses the next to recover.  At least we have a better idea why.

L's day was taken up with here Mom, who ended up in hospital for some checks and needed support.  She had hoped to ride, but she may have been fortunate as we had some incredibly heavy showers during the day.

We played badminton in the evening, and I'm creaking the following morning after some good games.
