Wall

Our garden slopes up away from the house. In the past a cut was made at the far end of the garden to allow a car to park. When we had work done on the house the masons leveled the cut and built a bike shed (out of shot to the left), which means the bank from the bottom of the cutting to the natural level is quite steep. Last week the put some top soil in place and over the weekend my wife has built a dry stone wall at the foot to retain it and try to minimise the amount of slippage we're going to get.

This week the masons were supposed to come and put some more top soil in place to build the bank up - hence the rush to get the wall built. As this is a back blip I can confirm that two weeks later they still haven't arrived and we still are missing a cubic metre or so of top soil, and the gravel for the car port...
