Duran Duran!
Unfortunately my Duran buddie is still laid up with a bad back, so N had to be groupie and head through to the Ovo after work, second time in five days.
Great support in the gold lamé besuited Jake Shears, lead singer of Scissor Sisters. Great set of familiar songs from, gulp, 20 years ago. Amazing voice and energy.
Then the big guns came on. Huge set and lots of money spent in the graphics and I suspect the Botox. So many old hits from my teens with the whole audience bopping like the 80’s. Great sound, but Mister Le Bon doesn’t have the showmanship of Mr Shears but the nostalgia made up for any creakiness.
