Calm north sea & 'in happy hours l tell the time'

We are staying in the old,  East Coast fishing village of Aldeburgh, now a chi chi town full of, l suspect, second homes.  It was a beautifully warm day and none of the rain which has caused dreadful flooding in some parts of the UK.

I have added two extras - the beautiful old 'moot' Hall built around 1550 which l am told is still used for council meetings (moot meaning discussion as in moot point).  The sun dial on the wall translates very roughly as 'in happy/sunny hours l tell the time'.
The second extra, standing alone on the pebbles, is the scallop scupture by Maggie Hambling
