A trio ......

...... of birds :-)

Managed another walk this afternoon though it was punctuated by showers! Thankfully not too heavy so we only got a little damp!

Unfortunately the light wasn't the best for photographs!

We did see quite a few birds including a Song Thrush, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Grey Wagtail & also a little Wren (Extra)

We spotted this Great Tit (tope left) with a caterpillar in its beak which it took to it's young in the nest in the hole in the trunk of a tree :-)

Also a Treecreeper (bottom left) ...... it was so quick this was the only photo I got that wasn't a complete blur!

Last but not least was a real surprise ..... a Heron ..... which, for once, didn't immediately fly off!

All in all a good walk despite the weather.
