Cannibalz big gig

Party in the park in our village. Months of planning and organising. My friend Ant headed up the organising committee and I was co-opted to find music acts. A bit stressful, but filled an afternoon with local musicians and the Irish dancing troupe. Obviously one of the bands on the bill was Cannibalz. They nailed it, sounded great and got an encore. There must have been 600 people in the park when they played. So much confidence and playing a mix of cheers and their own tunes.

The PA system and stage was hired and as I was stage manager/artist liaison I had plenty of time to chat to the sound engineer and the owner of the hire company. This system apparently was used by pink Floyd in the division bell tour and had also been hired by the foo fighters. 

The sound quality was excellent. 

All the acts did a great job and the park was full of people having a good time. One of the best days in the history of our village. I think we may end up doing it again next year....
