I was in Brick Lane this bank holiday.

Is it just me or has Shoreditch become a parody of itself - the real avant-guard moved out years ago when the prices skyrocketed and the area seems to be inhabited by the try-hard wannabe fashionistas with shedloads of disposable cash to waste on stuff they really don't need?
