Mishka

You'd be forgiven for thinking this is the gorgeous Dudley, but no, meet Mishka, the equally adorable 9-month-old miniature dachshund!

This morning I went to meet her and her owners for the first time with a view to dog-sitting. No doubt I was being checked out too! ;-)

This pup first came to my attention a few months ago when a friend posted an appeal on Facebook for the missing Mishka, who had run off after being startled by a noise while on a walk with her mistress. There were desperate attempts locally to find her, but after four days hope was fading - this was in February - when said friend came across the freezing, starving Mishka while walking her own dogs.

Ah, a story with a happy ending! Not very many of them around these days...
