Funiculì, Funiculà!

Felt rougher still today and had had a bad night's sleep so was going to stay at the house while Norm went out. Really didn't want to miss out on going to Lynmouth and the funicular though and also felt a bit better once the cocodamol had kicked in. Glad I went in the end because I did feel relatively ok for most of the day.

The weather was gorgeous so we had a lovely drive over Exmoor to Devon - the gorse is truly stunning at the moment and we properly saw some wild ponies for the first time this holiday (extra). They are such beautiful animals, there's something magical about them.

Lynmouth was as lovely (but busy!) as always. The funicular was closed for the season when we last came in November so we were ready and excited to go on it again this time. Funiculars are just the best things ever! Did a little reel of the return journey here. I was standing right at the front on the viewing platform - yay :-)

It was a beautiful evening so we popped out to Bossington Hill later to enjoy the sunset (extra) and have another magical pony encounter. It's strange because I'm not a horsey person at all, they frighten me a little bit, but there's something special and calming about Exmoor ponies. Maybe it's because they seem to show little or no interest in humans... good for them, they do right.
