Gannets

I enjoyed watching the gannets on Noup Head after cycling up from the ferry slip. Every time a bird returns to its mate on the cliff they go through a whole ritual of billing and cooing, mutual grooming etc to reinforce their bond. Got a few migrants-  my first of the year blackcap, sedge warbler, arctic skua, 6 wheatears, 4 great skua and a redstart at the lighthouse which was very flighty and I couldn't get much of a shot (extra). Also a female merlin, of which I just got a distant record shot.
