Bat Falcon

A first for me - a bat falcon female chick eating something feathered or furry which I have no idea as it was at quite distance. We stopped on our journey to see the falcons in the trees which was wonderful to see at eye level.

A fabulous day with an early start reaching our destination, Lagarto Lodge at lunchtime where we were inundated with toucans and all the usual suspects you would find at a rainforest lodge. 

We've had a fabulous  lunch and supper today on the deck, initially watching torrential rain which cleared enabling us to shoot at the incoming birds

It is hot! Very hot!!!
