Female Scarlet Tanager

This is a female Scarlet Tanager, quite a different look from the male.
Spent a couple days visiting my parents in New London, MN. Typical for a Memorial Day Weekend at the lake - windy, cold and cloudy. We pretty much stayed in the house. They have an incredible array of birds that come to their feeders. We had a good time trying to name them all. Mom had identified this as a female scarlet tanager.
Saturday night Mom and I had a rousing game of Phase 10 with Laura and Mustafa. I did very poorly and Mustafa was the winner! Even though the weather was poor, the time went quickly and we had a great time.
