On Shimmering Pond

And by that I mean Stong Pond at York University. I took a walk at lunch to see how the wee Canada Geese goslings were doing. Everybody was in the water having a paddle. They were mostly in one massive gaggle of 60+ chicks and a dozen or so parents surrounding them. Eventually, they separated and the chicks, presumably, followed their parents. I have no idea how they figure it out but they do. In this photo, one chick is suspiciously smaller than the others. I thought it got the wrong family but they continued merrily on. Good times.
