A PROPER MINI

Not one of your massive great modern Minis. Who remembers when families of five would travel in these? When there would be competitions to see how many people would fit into one? Mind you, I'd be terrified to travel in one these days even if I could manage to get in or out of it. In respect of which, we bought a new secondhand car today because we need something a bit more comfortable than the current car, which we love but which is now just a bit too low for our ageing joints. We spotted this one when we went to have lunch afterwards in a restaurant we hadn't tried before and which was very dark with music that was too loud and thumpy. We felt really ancient, especially when I put my jacket on inside out as we left. The staff probably thought we shouldn't be allowed out without supervision.
