Valerian

This grows like a weed but I love to see it when walking along the revetment. This is, obviously, the view from the top of the cliff.
It wasn’t growing in my garden when I first moved here, so I took some seed and randomly scattered it. Wish I hadn’t now! There’s a moral there!
I checked on Ma Duck at the pond today. Sadly she is missing a baby but the remaining five were happy enough and came up quite close to me. I watched them for some time.
