All aboard

Today it was the Isle of Wight steam railway and the Island Line from Ryde to Shanklin. The island Line uses old underground trains and we travelled on an old District Line train. Interesting to think that in the days when I lived along the District Line I might have travelled on the very same train.

Ryde and Shanklin are a bit run down now, as many seaside places are. Bournemouth is heading in the same direction now that the big department stores have closed.
