Patience rewarded

Our walk today passed the swans twice and we were happy to see that six eggs had hatched, although only five can be seen here. The last egg was still there, quite a size. We reckon they hatched yesterday. Apparently we had just missed them returning from a swim with Mum. Both parents were in attendance. We did the walk which incorporates some of the coastal path, it wasn’t very busy today. We saw one rabbit, some pheasants and one stonechat. There were lots of people looking at the cygnets when we returned.
