On the prowl

A Brahminy Kite gave me the evil eye as I walked along Seven Mile Beach today. I pity any small animal it watches in this way.

It's a large bird, with a wingspan to 1.2 metres. The only larger birds of prey we regularly see here are the Osprey (1.7 m) and the White-bellied Sea Eagle (2 m).
