Honey lily

I had waited long enough for my honey lily to finally drop its tenticulous like flowers. The sun shone and so, with stool in position the first hurdle was the slow, painful but inexorable assent of the concrete steps in the front garden, via the now green walking bars. I use the term walking, far too freely, more like watching a sixty year old disabled man pull him self up and out  his wheelchair and pull his fourteen stone frame akimbo parallel bars. With  camera attached to his chest via a brace. Once at the top, the stool, at his feet, beckoned the lame man to lower his frame down into position. Easier said than done, i can assure you.
The flowers, tall and proud, could be see by craning ones neck under one of the green bars, where eye ball met sun ouch. Not three feet away from the flower then, the broken but stupidly determined man  went about his workflow of capturing the honey lily, with a shallow depth of field ,to capture a few bokeh balls. Being a stubborn old fool, and to make things harder, he decides to use a forty year old, manual focus lens,  why? because it has character!!
