Life's tangled skein

Milky White

I am not sure whether I have previously mentioned The Dunblane Centre's forthcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's rarely-performed work Into The Woods (http://www.intothewoodsdunblane.com). This show, which will be performed outdoors at the Dunblane Hydro Hotel on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this coming week, is of course full of actors and actresses who are variously strong, dynamic, forceful and beautiful.

But for today's picture, I am going to show you our cow, Milky White.

Milky White is, it has to be admitted, a bit past it. She has flies on her eyes, she has bugs on her dugs, and a lump on her rump big enough to be a hump... and most importantly, she has been dry for a fortnight.

Jack will take Milky White to market, and rather than cold hard cash he's only going to end up with some beans... but the show doesn't stop where the fairytale ends; it projects forward into that "happy ever after" lifetime.

Come along and see us, please. If you don't, there might be more photos of Milky White to come!
