Oracle Rd

State Route 77, Oracle Rd, was part of this morning's 20 mile bike Ride. This is a nice illustration of the 12 foot shoulder where we ride. Today we were treated to this nice scenery of mountains and sky. We are looking at a slight downhill grade where it is easy to cruise at 20 mph. Coming back up becomes a 10 or 12 mph grade (for me).

Over the next two years the road will be widened from four to six lanes in this area. It is to accomodate future traffic expected due to future growth in housing to the north.

Today is Memorial Day, a Holiday in the USA. The Holiday was started in 1865 to commemorate the 600,000 men killed in our Civil War.
