A Peony with a history.

My parents were given a Peony by a neighbour around about 1950. We bought the house from my brother and two sisters in 1980 and lived there until 2003. The Peony was still flowering in the original place in the front garden. When we moved to our present home I dug the plant up and replanted it here, so it is now at least 73 years old.
I don't know if new varieties retain their flowers for a long period, but this one drops petals fairly quickly, but they are good while they last.
