Dinner Time

The waxeyes were out in force today - it was so cold I guess they needed extra food to keep them warm.

I love watching them check the berries, flit away, and then come back 5 minutes later to eat the very one they'd decided wasn't ripe enough at first.

When I got home after work I saw that they've decimated the apple I put out for them this morning too, and the sparrows have dealt to a feeder full of seed. Still, they're welcome to it - I don't envy them out in this weather.
